Requirements, Eligibility, Assessments & College Transition

The NCAA Initial Eligibility process can be intimidating for high school student-athletes and their families, even high schools and school districts. The Brooks Element’s Requirements, Eligibility,  Assessments and College Transition program, better known as the REACT, provides information and guidance regarding (a) initial eligibility academic requirements and general academic requirements and (b) navigating the eligibility process to assure the prospect will be eligible to play at a four-year college or university making the transition to college seamless.

 

The NCAA Two-Year College Transfer Eligibility process for junior college student-athletes can be just as difficult navigating without guidance. REACT provides direction to two-year college administrators on NCAA transfer eligibility rules to ensure the prospect is in the best position to be immediately eligible to enroll at a four-year college or university. 

 

The College Transition process for students and parents can be daunting. REACT provides information, education and individual support to families to help their student navigate the college admission and financial aid process, from application to matriculation.

Student-Athlete Eligibility Assessments

The NCAA eligibility process can be stressful and time-consuming procedure for athletes, families and coaches. REACT serves as an asset in your corner, offering comprehensive Eligibility Assessments for prospective student-athletes, both high school and two-year college transfers. Our assessments include an analysis of transcripts and standardized test scores. You also receive a personalized report specific to your student-athlete, noting any particular deficiencies, and including a detailed plan for meeting NCAA eligibility requirements.

Workshops

REACT offers a wide variety of workshops for small and large groups, providing valuable information on the NCAA initial Eligibility and Two-Year College Transfer Eligibility processes. Our workshops are ideal for parents/guardians, coaches, academic counselors and athletic administrators and can be tailored to meed the needs of the audience.

College Transition

Transitions from high school to college can present a set of challenges that can be overwhelming and demanding for student-athletes and parents alike. REACT and our affiliate partners will serve as a valuable resource for questions regarding the transition, such as tutoring to improve GPA’s and standardize test scores, how the recruiting process works and applying for scholarships. REACT assists by providing education to families throughout the process via our many affiliate partner organizations. REACT is here to support student-athletes and families with making a successful College Transition.
