Billi Payne

Billi Payne has over 20 years of experience in client services and account management. Prior to joining The Brooks Element, Billi worked at the NCAA Eligibility Center for eight years. During her time at the NCAA National Office, she worked in two different capacities. In 2007, Billi was a Customer Service Team Lead in NCAA Eligibility Center. She coached and mentored customer service representatives on effectively answering initial eligibility compliance questions from the public. She served as a liaison between the NCAA Eligibility Center customer service team and other academic departments within the NCAA National Office. In 2012, Billi joined the Amateurism Certification team at the NCAA Eligibility Center.  Billi was responsible for researching, investigating, and evaluating prospective student-athlete’s amateurism status. During her time at the NCAA Eligibility Center, Billi conducted several outreach speaking engagements on initial eligibility to student-athletes, parents, high schools, and universities. Billi was a facilitator for the NCAA Division III Student-Athlete Leadership Conference and a NCAA Regional Rules presenter. 

Billi earned a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts and Humanities from Indiana University-Bloomington and a Master of Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University. She was a Business Education adjunct instructor for Brown Mackie College from 2014 until 2017. She currently lives in Indianapolis, Indiana with her daughter.
